Are you ready for your best track season ever? Of course winter! However when the snow and ice melt you can have a major advantage on your competition with consistent winter training. We've assembled a team of coaches to help you prepare for a season full of PRs and medals!

WHEN? Meeting weekly 5:30-7 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from December 5th through February 23rd.
On each night we will focus on a different event group. Please see below for the breakdown:

Advanced Distance (Grades 10-12 or 7-9th graders who can run a district qualifying standard)
Jumps/Hurdles - we have room for a few jumpers and hurdlers on Tuesdays. Jumpers & hurdlers, please contact Coach Rob if you wish to attend on Tuesdays.

Indoor track in the Recreation Center of Clarks Summit University.

Our coaches are some of the best in Northeast Pennsylvania. They are eager to share their technical expertise and passion for the sport.

Rob Ahrens - Head Coach & Distance - Coach Rob currently coaches cross country & track at Elk Lake. He has won the Hershey Half Marathon, Scranton Half Marathon, and Binghamton Bridge Run in addition to placing in the top 5 in the Steamtown Marathon three times. He has 8 years of high school and college coaching experience at Abington Heights, Elk Lake, and Clarks Summit University. He has coached district champion teams, state medalists, and Footlocker Cross Country Champion Tessa Barrett.

Kevin Borrelli - Distance - Coach Kevin has 20 years of running experience. He works hard not only to improve upon his own achievements but also helping others reach their goals. He has won district titles and state medals in high school, was a consistent top 5 runner at Duquesne University, and has continued to dominate the local running scene winning the Steamtown Marathon, Scranton Half Marathon, and Binghamton Bridge Run. He now coaches at Marywood University where he was named regional coach of the year on the way to taking the women's cross country team to the national meet in 2013.

Jill Dunn - Jumps & Hurdles - Jill ran indoor and outdoor track and field at Misericordia for 4 years. She hurdled, jumped, and ran relays. She has been coaching at Elk Lake for 3 years.

Frank Passetti - Jumps/Hurdles - Coach Passetti was the head coach at Abington Heights where he coached 200m state champion Jordan Hoyt and multiple district champions in sprint, jump, and hurdle events. He now coaches at Elk Lake.

Jerry Preschutti - Sprints - Coach Jerry has coached the sprinters and relay teams for the past 37 years as a volunteer coach at Valley View, Mid-Valley, Western Wayne, and Abington Heights High Schools.

Jim Schools - Throws/Jumps/Hurdles - Head coach at Wyalusing Valley High School.

Ethan Senecal - Jumps/Hurdles/Throws - Coach Senecal has nearly 15 years experience coaching Jumps and Multi's at the Collegiate and High School levels. Throughout his career he has worked with multple national Champions and NCAA All Americans in the Pole Vault and numerous National Qualifiers in the long, triple and high jump. He currently serves as the Head Coach for Marywood Universities Cross Country and Track and Field Program and holds a USATF Level 1 Coaching certification.

Amy Viti - Mid-distance - Amy was a graduate and undergraduate student at Misericordia University where she competed in outdoor and indoor track & field for 4 years, running events including the 200, 400, 800, and 1000 meter runs. She was a member of the DMR, 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays. Amy also ran cross country for Misericordia for 3 years.

If you are a high school coach and would like to bring some athletes from your team, email us at We have specific coaches available to work with the different event groups on specific nights. However, we have some flexibility if your athletes can't make it on the night their event group is practicing. If you want to try to work something else out, please contact us!
