When the Soady clan reunites for the opening day of deer season at the family's Upper Peninsula camp, 35-year-old Reuben Soady brings with him the infamous reputation of being the oldest Soady in the history of the Soadys never to bag a buck. In a hunting story to beat all hunting stories, ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT spins a hilarious tale of humor, horror and heart as Reuben goes to any and all lengths to remove himself from the wrong end of the family record book. The cast includes Timothy Brayman as Albert Soady, Nathan Drumhiller as Reuben Soady, Nathan Johnson as Remnar Soady, Mike Sutton as Jimmer, Matt Sauer as Ranger Tom and Tracy McCullough as Wolf Moon Dance. Trinity Bird directs.
All performances take place at the Sauk Theatre, 240 E. Chicago St. in Jonesville. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (55 and up) and students (with a valid i.d.) and $8 for children (12 and under). Tickets can be purchased at or by calling 517-849-9100. The February 8 performance is a "Pay What You Can" preview. Preview tickets are not sold in advance. The February 15 performance is $5 senior night.
