The Weekend Intensive is the Academy of Creative Coaching’s accelerated 60-hour program for practicing and aspiring coaches seeking certification and International Coach Federation (ICF) approved credentialing. This design enables trainees to attend classes live and in person for four days, with fieldwork and mentor coaching following course completion for those seeking ICF credentialing.
The Intensive offers the following courses:
This introductory course focuses on the critical components supporting the coaching profession. Trainees gain an understanding of what coaching is and is not, the ICF core competencies, coaching ethics and standards, and the key elements of an effective coaching conversation.
This course focuses on the importance of self-awareness and developing a coaching presence. Areas of focus include how to utilize essential cultural competency skills, how to build strength-based relationships, and how to establish trust.
This course focuses on the most central components to any effective coaching engagement, including how to ask powerful questions to increase awareness, how to improve active listening and communication skills, and how to approach difficult conversations and resolve conflicts. This course also covers the dynamics of group coaching.
This course offers a range of coaching techniques, including mindfulness, creating awareness, designing actions, planning and goal-setting, and managing progress and accountability.

•The Academy of Creative Coaching is a fully accredited member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
•Credentialing track graduates of the Weekend Intensive program meet the training hours required to earn an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) level credential from the International Coach Federation.
• Courses from the Weekend Intensive program are fully transferable into the Academy of Creative Coaching's 133-hour training program for those seeking Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level certification and credentialing.
• Certification only track includes 7 hours of group mentor coaching. Credentialing track includes an additional 3 hours of one-on-one mentor coaching, and 9 hours of independent study.
